1: What types of Hanes® products qualify for Box Tops?
A: The Hanes4Education program is specifically designed for school orders of printed T-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts purchased in bulk through suppliers. Individually purchased Hanes® products such as underwear, socks and T-shirts do NOT qualify for this program.

2: Is there any minimum or maximum order?
A: There is no minimum order. However, a maximum of 5,000 Box Tops can be earned per order. Whether your school is ordering 20 T-shirts or 1,000, the process is the same. Just be sure that you are ordering your T-shirts, polo shirts or sweatshirts through a supplier and that the items are being used for schools, school-related activities, community-based/family-based youth activities and education-related uses. Individually sold Hanes® products such as underwear, T-shirts and socks DO NOT qualify for this program.
3. Are Hanes® branded products more expensive than other brands? I don't want to pay more just to earn Box Tops.
A: Hanes is priced competitively with other brands. Hanes® offers T-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts at several different price levels that are comparable if not identical to other brands. Ask your supplier for the best shirt that meets your budget.
4: How do I find a supplier in my area?
A: Suppliers such as screenprinters and promotional products companies are listed in the Yellow Pages or you can go online. You can also ask other school volunteers for local resources. When you order T-shirts, polo shirts or sweatshirts, be sure that you get a printed invoice/receipt indicating that you ordered Hanes® products and the quantity that you purchased.
5: How many Box Tops will I receive for my order?
A: Through this program, you will earn one Box Top for every Hanes® product that you order. If you order 100 T-shirts, your school will be electronically credited with 100 eBox Tops. The same formula applies for polo shirts and sweatshirts. A maximum of 5,000 Box Tops can be earned per order.
6: What if my supplier does not sell Hanes?
A: Hanes is one of the top-selling brands of T-shirts and other printed apparel, so suppliers either carry Hanes® products or can easily order Hanes® products. Since you must order Hanes® products to qualify for Box Tops, just be sure to confirm with your supplier in advance that they are using Hanes® products.
7: What do I need in order to receive my Box Tops?
A: Complete the Redemption Form available on line at www.Hanes4Education.com/redemption_form.pdf, and submit along with your original invoice/receipt (or a copy of your original invoice/receipt) to the address noted on the form or online via the Hanes4Education website. (Please note that packing slips, order tracking forms or work orders do not serve as an invoice/receipt. If your are unsure if a form is an invoice, please ask your supplier for confirmation.)
8: What is an invoice? What does it need to include?
A: An invoice is receipt of purchase from your supplier. Please be sure that your invoice/receipt includes the following required information:
- Name of supplier
- Date of purchase
- List of what Hanes® products were purchased and the number of Hanes® products purchased
- An invoice number
- Detailed accounting of costs
Only schools making direct purchases from wholesalers can submit wholesaler invoices. Wholesaler invoices from suppliers are not allowed.
9: If I have a question about a submission or invoice, what should I do?

10: I submitted my Hanes4Education Redemption Form and Invoice, but I have not received my Certificate. How can I track it?
A: Tracking the status of your Redemption Form is easy, just visit www.rewardsbymail.com and enter the last name, house number and zip code submitted on the form. You will be able to see the status of your submission. If you have any questions, you can call Customer Service at 1-877-391-5272 Monday- Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST.
11: I need to order T-shirts for an event outside of school (sports team, community event, church activity), can I submit that order to earn Box Tops for my school?
A: Absolutely! Anytime you are ordering Hanes® T-shirts or other printed apparel product such as polo shirts and sweatshirts for schools, school-related activities, community-based/family-based youth activities and education-related events, you can submit that order and Redemption Form and earn Box Tops for your school; subject to the terms and conditions of the program.
12: How are eBox Tops different from other Box Tops?
A: There is no difference between eBox Tops and traditional Box Tops, except that eBox Tops are automatically credited to school accounts. So there is even less work for school and school volunteers!
13: A local organization is ordering T-shirts for their employees. Can our school earn Box Tops for their purchase?
A: Yes! If you know of a local organization that orders printed T-shirts, polo shirts or sweatshirts, you can ask them to provide you with their receipt/invoice and receive Box Tops for their purchase. Or, they can submit their receipt/invoice and Redemption Form directly to Hanes4Education. We've made it easy with our new school Box Tops ID lookup tool on Hanes4Education.com.
14: What if we want to order blank T-shirts, polo shirts or sweatshirts? Do those still apply? And where can I buy them?
A: Yes, blank shirts, as long as they are purchased in bulk from a supplier, do apply to the Hanes4Education program. Simply order the shirts as you normally would, minus the screenprinting or embellishing.
